Yes, you will need something to practice on but we are happy to bring a kit to your home for the first lesson so you can see if it is something you are interested in.  We are also happy to help you find the right drums to suit your needs.

Drumsets can be as low as $200 for a good quality used kit on craigslist.  If you prefer to go to a shop be prepared to spend in the $300-600 range for a quality intermediate level kit.

Can I practice on electric drums?

Yes, electric drums are ok for people with noise constraints but we prefer an acoustic kit if at all possible.

A lot depends on the individual child but we have had great success teaching kids as young as 4.

Of course! We welcome everyone!  Though we aren't specifically trained to work with children on the spectrum you are more than welcome to take lessons.  We are patient, kind and have experience working with all types of kids and adults.
